Registration for the 2016 NYSACME Workshop and Symposium is now open!
The 2016 New York State Advisory Council on Military Education will hold its annual training and workshop symposium on October 6th and 7th at the University at Buffalo. The New York State Advisory Council on Military Education’s membership includes institutions, organizations, and individuals who are involved in the support of veteran, guard, reserve, and active duty students in any aspect of their educational journey. Our annual symposium allows us to come together and share best practices, current trends, and new policies as they relate to military education. Attendance at this conference is free of charge to both members and non-members of the NYS ACME. Feel free to pass this along to those at your institution or organization who would be interested in attending as well.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Kimberly Wagner, Buffalo VA Regional Processing Office - Ms. Wagner is the Buffalo VA's Education Officer and oversees all VA Education benefits to Veterans in the 12 Northeastern states, the District of Columbia, and all foreign schools.

Darren Phelps, Student Veterans of America - Mr. Phelps currently serves in a dual role as Vice President of Outreach, leading the organization's constituency engagement efforts as well as leading the organization's information technology strategy.

The symposium will be at the Center for Tomorrow on UB's North Campus (map), which list located immediately off of the Maple Road entrance. We have a conference rate of $107 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Buffalo -
Amherst if you mention "New York State ACME" and book by September 14th. For public employees, the conference rate is also the government rate (as of 1 OCT) and is lower than the state rate. There a numerous other in the immediate area as well.
